Role Overview
The Principal Investigator (PI) will oversee the conduct of pulmonary clinical trials in compliance with FDA regulations, GCP guidelines, and study protocols. Halo Clinical Research operates a physician-embedded model, allowing research activities to integrate seamlessly into routine clinical care with full operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Principal Investigator for pulmonary clinical trials (e.g., asthma, COPD, related respiratory indications)
- Provide medical oversight and ensure subject safety throughout study participation
- Review and sign off on study-related documentation, including source records and regulatory documents
- Perform protocol-required assessments, evaluations, and medical decision-making
- Collaborate with Halo’s clinical research coordinators and regulatory team
- Participate in investigator meetings and sponsor communications as required
Qualifications
- MD or DO with board certification in Pulmonology
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Texas
- Experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator preferred (training provided if new to research)
- Strong interest in clinical research and evidence-based medicine
- Ability to comply with GCP, FDA, and sponsor requirements
